Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e) focuses on fundamental/strategic technological research, which is relevant for industrial or other applications. It contributes to the strong competitive position of industry and addresses problems in society. TU/e intends to play a leading national and international role in attracting top researchers, Master students and research funding in a number of strategically selected research areas. Seven research clusters have been selected: (1) Biomedical Engineering Sciences (2) Broadband Telecommunications Technologies (3) Catalysis and Process Engineering (4) Dynamics and Fluids and Solids (5) Nano-Engineering of Functional Materials and Devices (6) Polymer Science and Technology (7) Science and Engineering of Embedded Systems

These might come and go as the driving force in this context is the pursuit of excellence.
